Internship period in Bachelor BI shortened
At the suggestion of the Study and Teaching Working Group, the Senate decided last Wednesday to shorten the internship period in the BSc Civil Engineering degree program to 8 weeks. The Senate thus followed a resolution passed by the BI Faculty Council on 14.01.2015, which aims to improve the studyability of the degree program. This change comes into force with the announcement in the TU Kaiserslautern Gazette, but applies retroactively to all current students on the Bachelor's degree course in Civil Engineering.
In addition, only 4 weeks of construction site internship are now explicitly required, the remaining 4 weeks can be completed independently. This means that you no longer need to provide proof of the office internship, but we recommend that you do not limit yourself to 8 weeks of construction site internship.

To ensure that we can continue to support you, it is particularly important that you participate in the Faculty Council (FBR). Today (03.02.2015) and tomorrow (04.02.2015) the annual TU committee elections will take place again.
